Aircraft fuel delivery is the core of the fuel supply system. It is responsible for effectively delivering aviation fuel from the tank to the engine to ensure power supply during flight. Then how to choose an airplane refueling hose?

Material compatibility

First, the material of the refueling hose must be compatible with the aviation fuel being delivered. This means that the material should not react chemically with the fuel, causing fuel deterioration or hose damage. Commonly used materials such as butyl rubber, chloroprene rubber, and polyester rubber are used.

Pressure resistance

Aircraft fuel delivery hoses need to be able to withstand high pressure. Because the fuel may be subjected to pump pressure during delivery. Therefore, it is crucial to choose a hose with high pressure bearing capacity. Metal bellows is a good choice. In addition, PTFE hoses also have good pressure bearing capacity.

Corrosion resistance

The fuel may contain some corrosive components. Therefore, the hose must have good corrosion resistance.

Flexibility and elasticity

The aircraft fuel delivery system may require the hose to bend and stretch in a complex spatial layout. Therefore, it is very important to choose a hose with sufficient flexibility and elasticity. This helps reduce the difficulty of installation and allows the hose to adapt to various deformations during aircraft operation.
