When it comes to PVC reinforced suction hoses, their quality and reliability are crucial for various applications. One of the key tests to ensure their performance is the pressure test of the suction and drainage assemblies. This test is designed to check whether the assembly can withstand 1.5 times the working pressure for 10 minutes without any risks such as water leakage, seepage, or joint detachment.

Generally, to improve efficiency, about five assemblies are connected together and tested at the same time. The entire pressure test process consists of three steps.

Step-by-Step Pressure Test Process
Step 1: Preparation and Filling
Fill the linked suction and drainage assembly with water, then raise the tail end of the last assembly and continue filling until water flows out of the tail end. Stop filling and seal the tail end.
Step 2: Applying Pressure and Initial Inspection
After sealing, continue to fill the assembly with water and apply pressure. During this process, adjust the water filling speed to ensure it is not too fast. Apply pressure until it reaches 1.5 times of the working pressure. In today’s test, the working pressure of the 4-inch assembly is 1 MPa, so we applied pressure until it reaches 1.5 MPa and then stop. Afterward, inspect all parts of the assemblies for any leaks, seepage, or loose connections.

Step 3: Maintaining Pressure and Final Inspection
Maintain the pressure for 10 minutes, then inspect all parts of the assemblies again for leaks, seepage, or loose connections. If none are found, the assemblies are deemed qualified.
Note: Due to the expansion rate of the rubber hose section, the pressure will gradually decrease during the pressure maintenance process and eventually stabilize around 1.3 MPa, which is a normal phenomenon and not caused by leaks in the assemblies.
Ensuring Quality and Reliability
The above is the complete pressure test process for the PVC reinforced suction hose drainage assemblies. Through this comprehensive pressure test process, we can effectively ensure the quality and reliability of the suction and drainage assembly of our PVC reinforced suction hose, making it more trustworthy in practical applications.
